Trusting in God is a Hard Discipline

Hi there!

these thoughts came:

John 6: 28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Did you know that believing is a hard work?
Trust in God in times of trouble when we are called to endure through perseverance?

Believing in Christ is not as easy or disconnected from reality as some make it out to be as "You can trust Him for eternity but not for here and now."

Believeing in Christ is a hard work when we dont see any hope, when we cannot see God's ATM or His cattles on a 1000 hills. Hard work to be sustained in jobless situations, through changing seasons of life and changes in relationships! Especially when evil seems to win "in the moment"!

When the roof caves in, and "rains descend, flood rise and stormy wind (that do His bidding) beat against us," shaking us to and fro and we learn to find our newer "constant" normals! Trust through perseverance! Eh?

That's hard work to believe that God exist or that He HAS our BEST interest!

Someone put a comment on my Facebook page: "When He provides for worms in the gutter, He will provide for me."

So is it true that we don't have an access to God's bank statement? 😀 check this beauty in the wild, that's just one peek in it.

If God clothes these smile producing flowers to beautify the wilderness can HE care any less for us?

And talking about connecting earthly to eternity, Luke 16:11 says, "So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?"

I feel to think if we have not trusted in earthly things, how can God entrust us with eternity? If we cannot trust Him and HIS sovereignty for here and now, eternity is a distant dream. Yes, at times justice may not be given on earth like in the case of leperous Lazarus picking up crumbs at finanicially rich man's gate's story, in the Bible. But "poor" Lazarus was found faithful throughout his impoverished life and in life after death he got blissful eternal reward for his faith through his perseverance in extreme poverty!

God will provide is trusting in His ability but believing God even when he chooses not to provide in our time or perhaps not in our here and now is trusting in HIS Sovereignty! Now, that's a hard discipline! Have a trusting day, won't you? 😀
